Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) harnesses the power of nature to increase the resilience of communities against the escalating impacts of climate change. By providing rapid and targeted financial support to innovative and catalytic projects, the Global EbA Fund addresses specific gaps in policy and technical knowledge to maximise the impact of this vital nature-based solution on a global scale. The Global EbA Fund is led by IUCN and UNEP.
The coordination of the Global EbA Fund is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) supports this initiative on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag.
The Global EbA Fund accepts and reviews submissions under the General EbA project proposals track year-round and makes biannual funding decisions. The next cut-off date is 28 April 2023 at 23:59 UTC+2. Applications received after the cut-off dates will be considered for the next round. If you are applying under a Thematic EbA project proposals track, all submissions must be received by the cut-off date of 28 April 2023 at 23:59 UTC+2.
See below the Global EbA Fund Submissions: Supplement to Project Proposal Application Packet form.
All information submitted in this form is drawn from the Project Proposal Application Packet (all answers can be copied/pasted, no need to re-word or paraphrase). This form must be submitted as a part of a complete Application Packet. Failure to submit this form constitutes an incomplete Application Packet, which will not be reviewed.
