Dear Global EbA Fund Community,

As the global adaptation agenda continues to evolve, one message is becoming increasingly clear: building resilience requires more than ambition. It requires knowledge, collaboration, finance and action that connect across sectors, ecosystems and communities.

This spirit is reflected in the Global EbA Fund’s latest work and engagement. In this update, we’re sharing our latest blog posts, key outcomes from EbA Knowledge Day and our Breakfast Seminar, new NAbSA NbS briefs, and the latest AFCIA call for proposals.

Together, these developments highlight the progress needed to advance ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA): connecting evidence with action, bringing diverse perspectives to the table, expanding access to finance, and ensuring that solutions are grounded in the knowledge, priorities and needs of the communities and ecosystems they are designed to support.

The outcomes from the event are now available, capturing key insights from discussions on how policy, finance, knowledge and implementation can work together to advance EbA for climate, biodiversity and people.

Experiences spanning nature-based urban resilience, climate research and forest landscape restoration reinforced a common message: effective adaptation happens when science, policy and local communities work together, and when knowledge is translated into action.

For World Oceans Day, we highlighted projects in the Philippines and Indonesia demonstrating how ecosystem restoration, stronger local governance and community stewardship can support both biodiversity conservation and climate resilience.

The importance of locally led and inclusive solutions is also at the heart of a recently released NAbSA NbS Brief, Resilient Waters: Nature-based Pathways for Climate Adaptation. Drawing on global case studies, practitioner experience and contributions from Global EbA Fund projects, the brief explores how Nature-based Solutions can strengthen water resilience while advancing gender equality and social inclusion.

The latest NAbSA NbS Brief, Investing in Impact: Connecting Carbon, Biodiversity, and Community Benefits, which features one project supported by the Global EbA Fund, explores how carbon finance, biodiversity finance and inclusive finance can help move beyond simply mobilising capital towards delivering measurable and equitable outcomes for nature, climate and communities.

Finally, we are pleased to share a new opportunity for innovators across Asia and the Pacific through the Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator (AFCIA) Call for Proposals. The initiative supports innovative, locally led climate adaptation solutions and offers selected projects technical assistance to help promising ideas move towards implementation and scale.
